It's almost Christmas! We're going to my parents house this Christmas, it's been about 5 years since we've all done christmas together on christmas day. Now that we all have kids of our own and my dad has christmas off this year we wanted to spend it together. I know K family is not that happy about it. They just don't get it. As tradition our car needed fixing at christmas again! It happened last year and we needed to get a rental car (thanks to my parents for paying for it!) At least it happened a few days before the holidays and K was able to fix it. Thanks babe. Not much new in my life (is there ever!)
Well I just want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas

Loved
Do you ever have those days where you just feel so loved? Or that you love someone so much you just can't stop smiling? Well I guess I'm having one of those days. I've been reading other people's blogs (I won't mention who's it was) and there's just to much drama going on. Sometimes it's just nice not to have any drama in my life. Sometimes it's nice when everything is quiet. It's nice to have someone whom I trust with everything in my heart. It's nice to have someone to depend on, someone who tries never to let you down (though we are human, and it does happen sometimes). I truly don't know what would happen if I didn't have Kris in my life. What would happen when I finally get that call saying he had an accident at work (for those of you who don't know my husband - he works on tower cranes, and pretty much hangs from a harness hundreds of feet in the air all day).
Well Cameron just finished his dinner so I have to clean him up.

Pictures Again!
Well I got a phone call on Thursday from Sears and they told me that the pictures were ruined. Great. So my sister and I went back in on friday and got the boy's pictures taken again. Thankfuly there were no tantrums! Plus the pictures turned out better and we got some for free too. Friday night R & S came over and we played card games and D&D Heros on the Xbox. R&S also came over on Sat night too, plus S cooked for us. Score! Well we've got about half of our christmas shopping done. Thankfuly! The malls are horrible! Not much else to say.

Winter Wonderland
I had a wonderful morning (Smile). Cameron finally slept the entire night in his own bed. For the past 1-2 months he's been a pain getting to bed and staying in his bed. It was nice to spend the whole night with just my hubby. And when I looked outside this morning it was snowing! I stopped for awhile, but I just checked again and it's snowing once more! I love Christmas time! I'm going to put up the Christmas tree this weekend, or maybe I'll do it tomorrow. Yes, it's a fake tree. We can't have real trees in our condo. Cameron has decided to be lazy today. He doesn't want to take his pajamas off. No worries though, we had to stick around this morning anyways because they are testing the fire alarms in everyone's suites.

Home Sweet Home
Well it was a nice 4 days at my parents. Quite relaxing anyways. Cameron kept himself busy for hours in the playroom with all the different toys. I sat and relaxed and drank beer with my dad. My neices had their birthday party on saturday night at my parents house, it got quite loud when the girls opened up their trucks and Cameron wanted to play with them! Cameron had seen my mom wrap the trucks up and it upset him very much! Well at least my parents know he will like that truck, because they got him that for Christmas! Sharing a bed with a 2 year old is not fun when he doesn't want to go to sleep! I got wacked in the eye twice and Kris got kicked in the balls I don't know how many times! My childs not mean, really he isn't. He was just flailing his arms and legs around and we happened to be the target! Well Cameron is standing right beside me right now and wants to play, so that's it for now.

Bad Day
Well yesturday was an adventure! First off I had to give cameron a haircut because he was getting his pictures done. That was not fun. Then of course we go to Sears to get his photo taken. TANTRUM!!!!!! Oh my god! He refused to sit for the photo, all he wanted to do was play with the toys in the waiting area. So in other words we had to include the toy into the photo! I think they only took 5 pictures because we knew that's all we would get out of him! I swear I'm never doing that again without Kris being there!
Well I'm going to my parents tomorrow, that will be a nice break. Cameron loves playing with all the different toys my parents have, that usually keeps him busy for awhile. Plus he will see his cousins and they will definatly keep him busy.

I guess it's been awhile
Man it's been awhile since I've updated this! Nothing much new. Nothing is ever new! I'm taking Cameron to get his picture taken tomorrow at Sears. My sister and I are both going so we can get one of the two boys together.Kris is still trying to sell his Grey Cup tickets, but so far with no luck! We're going to my parents house this weekend so we might have to come back earlier on Sunday so Kris can be at BC Place to sell the tickets there if he can't sell them before we go.
Cameron is doing really great. He's really into learning his shapes right now. He can count upto about 15 now. He knows some of the alphabet, but not all yet. And he's still clueless about colours! We're having an impossible time trying to get the soother away from him. He's just not ready to give it up yet. We took him swimming on Saturday and had a great time. I also discovered that when Cameron goes under water he doesn't try to get back up. He fell under water when we were there and he just layed there floating (not a pleasant sight to see!). But at least he holds his breath! He also loves going down the waterslide at the pool (it's about the same size as the one in kamloops). Well Cameron is trying to get the keyboard now so that's all!

Waiting.....
Well it's 11:30pm and I'm waiting for my hubby to get home from work (he started at 7:30am). I would love to go to bed because I'm soooo tired, but sadly I can't. Last week our building was broken into (well not broken into as the thief had a key!) so today they changed all the building locks and code for the parking garage. So that means that Kris has neither! So now I'm paitiently waiting (not really) for him to call so I can give him the new code and then wait for him to get home so I can buzz him in.
On to other news, my little boy turned 2 years old on sunday! He's so cute! (most of the time, but not always!) He's really starting to talk more and more everyday. He doesn't too often talk in sentances so it's nice to hear him when he does. The other day I was making dinner and I called to him that dinner was ready and his respones while running into the kitchen was "I'm coming!" And of course two days ago while we were tucking him into bed was "I love you daddy!" Yeah, Kris feels special because Cameron hasn't said that to me yet.
Well I think I'm going to go have some caffine now.

Larengitis sucks!
Well it turns out I have larengitis. This is the sixth day of my throat being unbelievably sore and it's driving me insane. At least today it doesn't hurt as much because I don't have to talk. Kris is home today so he can do all the talking to Cameron. The past 3 nights I've only had about 3-4 hrs of sleep a night, then having to wake up and entertain a 2 yr. old, not fun. But I do have to say Cameron has been a real sweetheart, and he's let me lounge on the couch for the most part. Kris has been wonderful this week too, he's cooked dinner almost every night, he's so great when I'm not feeling well, he'll take over everything and tell me to go rest. I love him! I slept most of the day today because I didn't get much sleep during the night, and Kris took care of cameron, plus Kris also has a head cold and not feeling well. I'm hoping my throat feels better soon, the Dr. said it could last up to 10 days! I hope not! It's really hard to explain to a 2 yr. old why I can't read him a bedtime story (that is explaining while not talking!) Well I think we're off to go rent some movies now.

And another Week goes by
Well let's see... last Friday night we (Kris, Cameron, mom, dad, sis&nephew) went to my uncles wedding reception where we danced and drank (well me and my dad did). Cameron was wired to go and played with all the kids and danced with a few too! Kris and I actully danced at the wedding (doesn't happen too often - it was nice) and we headed out at about 9:30 because Cameron was starting to pass out. Saddly I didn't get to hear my uncle sing. One of my greatest childhood memories is listening to my uncle sing and play his guitar. Oh well there will be other times.
Saturday morning we headed to the ferry to go to my parents house for thanks giving and an early birthday party for Cameron. We had a turkey dinner on Sunday night and a birthday cake for Cameron (Blue's Clue - my sister-in-law made it) I also saw someone I haven't seen in 11 years! My mom invited Sharon Payne to have dinner with us. Sharon is the mom of 4 boys that we (my brother, sister and I) use to hang around with when we were kids. They moved back to South Africa 11 years ago and in the past couple years they've been moving back to Sechelt. The three youngest boys have moved back already (I haven't seen them yet) And the oldest is in the process (he's trying to get his wife and baby girl over). Anyways Cameron got lots of trucks for his birthday (he loves trucks). It was so cute, my mom has this doll house that the kids play with and Cameron was using in as a garage for all his cars and trucks! We came home on Monday, we got at the ferry at 12:30 so we could catch the 2:30 ferry but it was so backed up that we finally got on the 4:30pm ferry. That was a long 4 hrs! And of course it was pissing rain out side, so that was 4 hrs in the car! Cameron was great though, he kept himself busy with his new toys. By the time we got back home (7:00pm) my throat was killing me and I woke up the next morning sick. I had fever aches all day. So I pretty much spent the day on the couch yesturday. And now today my throat still hurts, but I have more energy.

ahhhh! Nap Time!
Finally! This past week Cameron decided that he was a big boy and big boys don't take naps! So it's been a bit stressful, but everything has turned out ok. Thankfuly he decided that he wanted to nap again! Moms out there know what I mean, sometimes you need your child to have naps just so you won't go insane! Well know that I got that out I don't really have much else to say. I'm going to take advantage of Cameron's nap time and get some stuff done!

That's Strange
For some odd reason my blog isn't showing up. That sucks! Well let's see. In the past week: On friday morning Kris, Cameron and I went up to Kamloops because K had to work and his dad was going to be coming down there too. The whole family had dinner together and K's grandma's house on Saturday night. It was really nice seeing everyone. We probably won't be seeing them at Christmas so it was nice that it happened at least once this year. C had fun playing with his cousin Nigel (he's one). On tuesday night I went swimming with my sister, and got a nice workout. We're going to swim twice a week now (as long as our hubby's get home from work on time). Cameron counted to ten today! - he's known how to say all his numbers up to ten, but would never count them in a row. He counted the stairs as he was walking down them! Once he got to ten he started over again at one! Well not much else to say. R and S are coming over tonight, we've been going through withdrawl, we didn't see them last week.

On our own
Well Cameron and I are on our own for a couple days. Kris went up to Kamloops, today because he has to work up there for a couple days. Cameron is getting over his cold, but now I have it! You gotta love it when your kids always give you their colds! Well I broke down and took some cold medicine. I usually don't because sometimes it makes me drowsy but I'll risk it today. Finally I get to use the car for a couple of days and I'm sick and I don't want to! Funny how things work out. Ever since the weather got colder I've been getting in the mood for christmas, and it's still 3 months away! Yes, I'm a little odd that way. I need to think about Halloween, because we're taking Cameron out this year. Kris and I will of course end up eating all the candy! Well I'm starting to get drowsy now so I should go.

Another Wonderful Weekend.....well not really
Well lets see... Kris had to work on saturday so that really sucked. The only highlight of my entire weekend was that R & S came down on saturday. They cooked dinner for me and Cameron and Kris ( he finally arrived home at 11:00pm). We played starwars monopoly in which R kicked our butts both times! So Sunday started with Cameron having a runny nose and then it got worse. So I had a child stuck to me for the entire day, because he wouldn't scream if he was sitting on me. Suprizingly enough he slept through the night only breify waking up at 1:00am when I heard him talking to himself or trying to read his books in the dark (he likes to sleep with his book at the end of his bed, so he can look at them anytime he wants), then he didn't get up until shortly after 7:00am.
Today was pretty much the same. When Cameron was awake he was pretty much clinging to me. He had a short spurt of energy in the morning so I could do the laundry, dishes and vaccum, and a little bit in the afternoon so I could paint primer on the walls.
Well I can hear Kris calling to get Cameron out of the shower, so that's all for now.

Forgetful!
Well I realized that I always forget many things about what has happened during the week when I post. I'm always in a rush because I usually post when Cameron is still awake (he's playing in the livingroom and I'm in the bedroom). So lets see... last week had its' ups and downs. It started off a tad stressful (we're weaning Cameron off his soother, so he's been really cranky). last weeknd was great. Friday night R & S came over and we watched a movie (well we tried too!). Saturday night Kris and I went on a date - we went and saw War of the Worlds (I liked it) and we went and had dessert at Death by Chocolate (loved it!) - it was great, Kris and I haven't had a date since May. Sunday was my sisiters baby shower. It was nice to get a break from my kid, but there were 3 babies at the shower!
Ok now this week - only one meltdown! On thursday cameron was VERY cranky. He decided that he didn't want a nap, but just be cranky ALL day (well until Kris got home!) Kris thankfuly gave me a break and took Cameron to the park so I could have some alone time. It helped alot! Yesturday I broke down and gave him his soother at nap because once again he didn't want to go to sleep - seconds after I gave it to him he was asleep (yes! I had 2 hrs! In which I could tidy up and prep dinner)
Well today is now saturday and Kris had to work, so it's just me and cameron again. R & S are coming over later to keep me company and even making us dinner! They are wonderful friends! Kris was laughing at me because I was getting excited that I didn't have to cook dinner! The little things I look forward to!

It's been awhile
Well I guess I have forgot to write here for awhile. Things have been ok. Last week was a bit stressful (husband working late, not getting a break from the kid) It was nice to have Kris home early today. I don't think we've had dinner together during the week for a long time. There's a park near our place that just installed a play ground for smaller kids (such as Cameron) so Cameron and I had a fun time there today. Boy does that kid have energy! After running around on the playground for awhile he decided to run through the water park with all his clothes on! It was really cute! Next time I'll have to remember to bring a camera. I'm hanging out with my sister more now that she's on mat leave, which is great. We haven't spent much time together since I had Cameron (we use to work together). I also started Weight Watchers last week and I'm finding it very hard to get in the groove of it. Oh well, that's about all that's new with me.

A little bit of everything
Well yesturday Cameron and I didn't do too much. In the afternoon we went upstairs to see if his friend Abraham wanted to play, but when we got there Abe and Nancy(Abe's mom) were just heading out the door to go swimming. Nancy asked if we would like to come because she has two carseats in her car, so we were more than happy to join them. So we spent about 1 1/2 hrs. at the pool which Cameron loved! We haven't been to the pool in quite some time. Abe had some water wings which I'm going to have to get some for Cameron because he wanted to swim like Abe in the deeper end (not really deep, just deep for 2 yr. olds!).
Kris is back to his gaming nights, and I'm happy he's able to go now because I know he's been missing them. So Cameron and I spent the night alone, well until about 9:30 anyways. Kris has been working some long hours lately, so we don't see him as much, well Cameron doesn't get to see him as much. I'm still awake when Kris gets home. He's worked over 20 hrs. of overtime in the past 6 work days! Oh well the pay is good.
Cameron and I finally went to the Library here in Langley (I have never been to the Langley Library before) and we checked out some books for Cameron. He loves having books read to him at nap time and bed time, though he didn't get to today at nap because he fell asleep in his highchair while eating lunch! It's so cute when he does that!
Well tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I'm babysitting Abraham because Nancy's dad is still recovering from hip surgery (Nancy's dad usualy looks after Abe). It should be fun, I know Cameron and Abe will have a blast! I could use the extra money too!
Well that's all for now.

Busy Day
Well we packed up this morning and headed to my sisters house to meet up with my brother, his wife and their twin daughters (21 months old) and headed to the Vancouver Aquarium. Thankfuly we made it there and back before the rain set it. We had a great time! Cameron loved watching the otters (there so cute!) and of course the dolphins jumping. We did pretty good for having 3 kids under 2 and not one tantrum! They all got abit cranky at the end, but they were pretty tired. Well I think I'm going to spend the rest of the day being lazy. That's all for today.

Day after Day...
It's like the same thing every day. Cameron and I get up, he watches a couple cartoons, we play, go for a walk nd play at the park, come home have lunch, Cameron has his nap while I read a book or work on a project, Cameron wakes up we play some more and then I make dinner, then the night is practicly over. We so need to get another car so Cameron and I can at least go out once in awhile. I mean I can take the bus. but that means I have to take the stroller because Cameron won't walk the entire time and he's too heavy for me to carry. We barely know anyone around here. We don't go to any play groups (I don't do to well with crowds) I would love to start Cameron in swimming soon (I think there's a class in the fall), we'll have to take the bus for that. I'll have to find a more direct route to the pool.Otherwise we're doing good. I was thinking about getting a job on the weekends or in the evenings, but with Kris's work schedule I don't think I will be able to. Oh well it will only take us what twenty years to pay off all our loans!

It's a.......
Boy!!! My sister had her baby yesturday! He's so beautiful! His name is Reegan Aaron Gratton 7lbs 14oz. Jen did such a good job! She went into the hospital yesturday morning at 4-4:30am because her water broke and then they decided to induce her at 11:00am because she wasn't having any contractions (she had no more than a handfull from 4-11) and then thats when her pain really started! At about 3:45pm she started to push and at 4:25 Reegan was born! She's so happy! Aaron did a great job to, and he got to cut the cord. I'm so happy for them!

Weekends......
Don't you just love them? I know it sounds silly for me, because I'm home every day of the week. We get nothing done during the week and everything done on the weekends! Ross and Sarah are coming over today! It's nice when I get to spend some time with other adults (sorry Kris!) He understands me though. They are really great to hang around with because they just love Cameron! Which really helps! And of course Cameron just adores them!
Well I guess in one more year we're going to have to be able to afford another car. Yikes! Well we're going to get a motorcycle (for Kris) so that I can have our car, well hopefuly we'll get a different car because it won't be big enough anymore. I'm going to be my sister day care so I'll have Cameron and my (nephew or niece) and maybe a new baby by then and our car only has four seats!
Well since I've been sitting here for a good ten minutes and can't think of anything else to say, I think it's time to go.

Nothing Much
Well, my life is boring! I never have anything to write about. Well I guess it's good if I don't have anything bad to write about! Well the countdown has started and I'm excitedly waiting for my sister to have her baby (she's due in 5 days). Sarah should be getting out of the hospital today and her and Ross are coming over tomorrow night. It will be nice to have some friends to hang out with. I really don't have many friends where I live, (in my town I mean). And of course none of my friends have kids, so it's kinda hard to get together unless they come over here. I don't usualy let anyone look after Cameron unless they are family or really good friends. Well since cameron is napping and I have a couple hours of just me, I think I'll go read a book.

Camping.....
Well camping was great! Our trip started on Thursday morning, that is why I haven't posted anything in awhile. My mom picked Cameron and I up in the morning and we headed to the ferry. I know we only went to Sechelt to camp, but that is where my parents are living at the moment (at a campsite). Plus this was Cameron's first camping trip and I wanted it to be an easy one. There was only a couple of down sides which were the fire ban, so no toasted marshmellows over a camp fire, and Cameron fell backwards down the stairs of my parents trailer. He's fine, just scared the crap out of me. Kris came over on Saturday night as he had to work that day, and took Cameron on his first tromp through the trails, well the bush. So we all had a great time and Cameron only came back with a few cuts and scrapes.

My Reasons
Well to start off I wanted you to know why I decided to start a blog. Many of you I see very little of and also don't talk to you that often, so my thought was to start this blog so all my friends would know what's going on in my life. Also in hopes that many of you will decide to start one too. And to one friend who moved to Edmonton (you know who you are) maybe you will start your blog again so I know how things are on that end!
Life is fairly relaxed here. The scafolding is all up around our deck now and twist had a fun time exploring. It was to cutest thing, I told Cameron to keep an eye on Twist, so when ever Twist was about to jump off the deck onto the scafloding Cameron would grab his fur or tail and pull him back in! I wish I had a video camera! Cameron is learning words everyday! It's pretty cool. Yesturday his new words were "turtle" and "chicken". Well that's enough bragging about my son for today.

Well I decided to start my own blog. I'm not one for letting people know all my thoughts in my head, so I think I'll start by just letting my husband and a couple girlfriends read this. Kris, my love. He is just so frustrated with his little brother right now. Well I don't blame him, Kelly has been acting childish lately. Who would decline a job starting at $16/hr??? And this is his first job! Oh well take that matter up with him! Well my life has been pretty calm lately (I'm talking about family life here in Langley, not talking about in-laws!) Well lets see, Kris, me and Cameron went to visit Sarah in the hospital on saturday, she seems to be doing ok, she said probably another week and a half in the there before she gets out. We were going to stay and watch the fireworks but Cameron was getting to tired (well cranky). Sunday was also fairly quiet. Kris had to clean everything off our deck because they are putting up scafolding(sp?)- well there fixing the decks! Great, that's where Cameron spends most of his time when we're home! Oh well my sister is now on mat leave, so we'll just have to visit her more. Cameron his going on his first camping trip, though sadly without Kris. I'll going to visit my parents on thursday and since they are between homes right now they are living in a campground (well in a camper they just bought). So my mom invited us to come, but since Kris has to work on saturday it will just be Cameron and I. Well on other news, I'm going to be an auntie real soon! Well a couple more weeks. My sister is due on Aug. 24.
Well that's all for today
